Holding repair teams had to connect the lights to some consumers twice or more.
In March, DTEK power engineers restored power to more than 715 thousand consumers in the regions of Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kyiv, which were cut off as a result of Russia’s attack on energy facilities. The press service of the energy holding reported this on Monday, April 1.
Thus, in the Odessa region, the electricity supply was restored to 303 thousand customers, and in the Dnepropetrovsk region – to 213 thousand.
In March, electrical engineers also restored power to 195 thousand consumers in the Donetsk region, where active fighting continues and daily destruction of energy infrastructure occurs.
At the same time, the energy infrastructure of the Kiev region was burned. There, in the past month, it was possible to restore electricity supply to three thousand houses in Buchansky and Vyshgorod districts.
“In March, the enemy intensified his attempts to leave Ukrainians without electricity. On March 22, one of the strongest attacks on the energy system took place. This led to the need to apply blackouts in most of the regions of Ukraine. However, despite all the efforts of the enemy, electricity engineers across the country were able to provide light to people through their common efforts and prevent massive blackouts,” said Alexander Fomenko , CEO of DTEK Grids.
It is indicated that after each air attack or artillery attack, specialists from the operators of the distribution system repair the electrical networks as soon as possible, as soon as they receive permission from in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and State Emergency Service. At the same time, energy workers have had to restore power to some customers twice or more.
We remind you that in the latest attacks, the Russians destroyed almost all of DTEK’s thermal power plants. The energy handling revealed the loss of almost half of its capacity. The destruction of energy facilities is enormous estimated at billions of Hryvnia.
