In the interbank market, the American currency fell in price by 21 kopecks – to 38.87-38.94 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine lowered the dollar’s exchange rate against the hryvnia after four days of sustained growth and renewed historic highs. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, March 21.
The official exchange rate on the last day of the working week is set at 38.9234 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.2165 UAH). At the same time, the euro exchange rate rose slightly and set a new maximum – 42.4693 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0299 UAH). The previous record was on March 20 – 42.4641 hryvnia per 1 euro.
In the interbank market, the American currency fell by 21 kopecks to 38.87-38.94 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate dropped by 15 kopecks to UAH 39.20.
As you know, in recent days the dollar exchange rate has increased by about 1 Hryvnia. And the official exchange rate of the NBU on March 20 crossed the 39 hryvnia mark for the first time.
Meanwhile, the National Bank said that this situation in the foreign exchange market does not cause concern.
