From March 1, the fees for optical Internet and fixed telephony for home users have increased.
The largest Ukrainian fixed-line operator Ukrtelecom has increased payments for optical Internet and fixed telephony for home users from March 1. The company’s general director, Yuriy Kurmaz, announced this in an interview with Interfax- Ukraine.
“The maximum increase for optical Internet is 50 UAH (on the monthly household bill – ed.). For fixed telephony, the payment has increased by 30 UAH. The increase has already taken place from March 1, 2024 for users at home,” he said.
According to the general director of Ukrtelecom, tariffs have been increased due to the rising cost of energy resources, heat supply, materials and labor.
Kurmaz assured that only one stage of price increase is planned for 2024, but did not rule out that tariffs may be increased further based on the company’s work results in the first half of the year.
Ukrtelecom is the largest fixed-line operator in Ukraine. An important part of the clients are government agencies, educational, administrative institutions and medical institutions, emergency services. The company is a provider of high-speed fixed Internet with the widest coverage.
We remind you that the share of Ukrainians who use the Internet every day increased from 72% to 80% throughout the year. Since 2021, this number has increased by more than 10%.
