The fire on the ship occurred as a result of an “emergency situation.” Several people were injured. This statement was made by the head of the press service of the Kaliningrad regional government, Dmitry Lyskov, but did not provide details of the incident. This was reported by Kommersant.
Meanwhile, Telegram channel 112 reported that a Russian trawler sank in the Baltic Sea near the city of Pionersky in the Kaliningrad region. It is noted that one person died, and two more are considered missing.
According to the Baza Telegram channel, the preliminary cause of the incident was an explosion on board the ship.
Three years ago, the trawler “Captain Lobanov” collapsed to the side during launching, after which it partially sank.
Let us recall that in early March, the British cargo ship Rubymar, sailing under the flag of Belize, sank in the Red Sea. The ship was carrying more than 20 thousand tons of toxic fertilizers and was attacked by a Houtid ballistic missile.
