The Opendatabot service has identified the largest Ukrainian enterprises with an impeccable business reputation.
Nine companies of the Metinvest group are included in the Index of the Best Businesses of Ukraine, compiled by the open data monitoring service Opendatabot. The group’s press service reported this on Tuesday, March 19.
It is indicated that when compiling the Index, both the financial statements of the companies for 2023 and the business reputation of the enterprises are taken into account – in particular, the sanctioned companies or enterprises with owners from the Russian Federation are not included in the rating.
As a result, the Index includes the largest Ukrainian enterprises with an impeccable business reputation, 10 companies in each category.
The top ten best enterprises in four categories include nine enterprises of the Metinvest group, owned by Rinat Akhmetov:
-
in the Processing industry category – Zaporizhstal (No. 1), Kametstal (No. 2) and Zaporozhkoks (No. 9);
-
in the category of Extractive industry – Pokrovskoe mine management (No. 3), Northern Mining and Processing Plant (No. 6), Svyato-Varvarskaya Concentrating Plant (No. 9) and Central Mining and Processing Plant (No. 10);
-
in the Wholesale trade category – Metinvest-SMC (No. 10);
-
in the category Professional, scientific and technical activities – management company of the Metinvest Holding group (No. 2).
“Complete with companies’ financial statements and earnings, the Opendatabot Index provides a complete picture of what happened to Ukrainian business in 2023,” assured Opendatabot founder Alexey Ivankin.
The day before it became known that by the end of 2023, the Metinvest group received losses of $194 million. But this number has dropped significantly compared to 2022.
It was also reported that over the past year, Metinvest transferred 14.6 billion hryvnias in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels.
