The Ministry of Digital Development notes that last year Ukraine took 12th place in the world ranking in terms of income from investments in crypto-assets.
By the end of 2023, Ukrainians have earned $850 million from cryptocurrency. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation with reference to the international study Chainalysis.
Last year, Ukraine took 12th place in the world ranking of countries in terms of income from investments in crypto assets. According to this indicator, it surpassed Brazil, Japan and Canada.
The department recalled that last year bill No. 10225-1 on virtual assets. The purpose of the document is to create favorable conditions for working with a new class of assets and establish clear rules for their taxation.
“The legalization of the crypto industry will help attract the majority of foreign investment needed to restore our economy, and Ukraine’s blockchain specialists will be able to realize their potential at home,” the message said.

We remind you that in January the United States took an important step towards legalizing Bitcoin. The SEC allowed fund industry heavyweights BlackRock, Invesco and Fidelity to compete with smaller rivals including Valkyrie to begin trading. After that, the price of the cryptocurrency began to rise rapidly.
As you know, on March 5, Bitcoin reached a record $69,202, but on the same day fell by about 7% to $63,400.
