Today, 14 units of generating equipment from thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants are reserved.
Ukrainian thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants have enough remaining coal in their warehouses to successfully complete the heating season. More than 1 million tons of coal have accumulated in warehouses, which is 236 thousand tons more than planned, the Ministry of Energy reported on Saturday, March 2.
“At the end of February, the state-owned company Centrenergo accumulated in its warehouses more than 161 thousand tons more than expected by the accumulation schedule,” the statement said.
It is indicated that this result was achieved thanks to the coordinated work of coal mining and energy companies.
The Ministry of Energy also added that thanks to a large-scale repair campaign in the energy sector, by the end of 2023 it will be possible to restore and add more than 2.2 GW of power to the energy system. And at the moment, there are 14 units of equipment development of thermal power plants and thermal power plants in reserve.
We remind you that since February 14, electricity exports from Ukraine have exceeded imports. And on February 23, Ukraine began selling electricity to Hungary.
