The NBU reduced foreign currency sales by 40% in February

The amount of foreign currency sold in February was the smallest since April last year, the National Bank of Ukraine reports.

The National Bank of Ukraine in February 2024 reduced net sales of foreign currency by 40% compared to January. This is confirmed by the data published by the NBU.

Specifically, in February, the NBU bought $0.032 billion in the interbank market and sold $1.541 billion. In January, the corresponding figures were $0.016 billion and $2.549 billion, respectively.

The amount of foreign currency sold in February was the smallest since April last year.

Today, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official hryvnia to dollar exchange rate at UAH 38.04. Compared to the previous banking day, the rate increased by 16 kopecks.
