The liberalization of cargo transport with Turkey will remain in force until the end of the war. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure on Thursday, February 29.
Transit visa-free travel with Turkey provides bilateral cargo and transit transportation. No permit is required for cargo transportation and transit. The agreements also include a permit-free lane for empty trucks to enter.
In addition, as a result of a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, it was possible to increase the number of permits for cargo transportation to/from third countries by one thousand – up to 3,500.
Of all Ukrainian exports to Turkey, about 15% are delivered by road. Turkish companies import almost 60% of the total volume of goods to Ukraine by road.
We remind you that today Ukraine has a transport visa-free regime with 35 countries, including the countries of the European Union.
Ukraine is proposing to the EU to extend the transport visa-free regime for one year without changes. Poland, Slovakia and Hungary have comments on this. The Baltic countries, Finland, Sweden, and France support the agreement.
