This is more than 75% of the total amount of fuel contracted by the company for the entire heating season.
DTEK delivered 308 thousand tons of imported coal from Poland to Ukraine. This was reported by the DTEK press service.
It is noted that this is more than 75% of the total amount of fuel contracted by the company for the entire heating period.
Coal from abroad made it possible to create an additional margin of safety and increase the reliability of thermal generation and the Ukrainian energy system, especially at the peak of electricity consumption.
Insurance with imported fuel allows DTEK to maintain the amount of coal in warehouses at the required level, as well as to increase reserves.
Earlier, DTEK energy workers finished repairing the power unit of one of the thermal power plants, which was damaged as a result of the massive shelling last winter. This is the 10th power unit that the company has restored after the Russian attack.
Let’s recall that in January DTEK agreed to import an additional 80 thousand tons of thermal coal from Poland.
By the end of 2023, DTEK has spent about 11 billion hryvnias on a repair campaign at thermal power plants and coal production in mines. This will almost double the number in 2022.
