Ukrainian power plants export night and day to Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Moldova.
Ukraine has a stable situation in the energy system. This made it possible to increase the export of electricity to Europe, Ukrenergo reported on Thursday, February 8.
“Today, exports are carried out at night and during the day in Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Moldova. The total volume is 1859 MWh, with peak power in some hours of up to 210 MW,” the message said.
At the same time, electricity is imported during the day and night from Slovakia, Romania and Moldova with a total volume of 7274 MWh and with a peak power at certain times of up to 847 MW.
It is also reported that today at Ukrainian thermal power plants the period for emergency repair of one power unit has been extended, and at two others the period for current repairs has been extended. In nuclear power plants, the power of two power units is reduced to carry out repair work.
We remind you that on February 5, Ukraine resumed the export of electricity. At that time, 230 MWh was supplied to Moldova, with a peak power of up to 65 MW at certain times.
It has been reported that the excess electricity is due to heating, reduced consumption, and the operation of power plants using renewable energy sources.
Earlier it was found that the industry has increased drastically in electricity consumption. It contributed to the overall growth of the Ukrainian economy.
