Legal entities have already bought eight plots in the primary market, and 50-something in the secondary market.
The first agreements with legal entities were registered in the agricultural land market. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Nikolai Solsky in a telethon on Thursday, January 18.
“Since the new year, until now, legal entities have bought eight plots in the primary market, and 50-something in the secondary market,” he said.
The minister noted that individuals are now buying more land than legal entities. The number of buyers of legal entities is expected to increase.
We remind you that the land market in Ukraine was opened on July 1, 2021. In the first two and a half years, only individuals – citizens of Ukraine – can buy agricultural land with a limit of 100 hectares.
As of mid-September 2023, 365 thousand hectares of land have been sold under sales contracts.
From January 1, 2024, Ukrainian resident companies were given the opportunity to purchase land; the limit is 10,000 hectares per person. The Land Market Law prohibits foreigners from buying land.
