In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate fell by 17 kopecks in purchases and 22 kopecks in sales – 37.66/37.68 UAH/dollar.
The National Bank of Ukraine for the second day in a row reduced the exchange rate of the dollar and the euro following trading in the interbank market. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, January 18.
The official exchange rate for Friday is set at UAH 37.7094. for 1 dollar (-0.1883 UAH). The euro exchange rate tomorrow will be 41.0146 UAH per 1 euro (-0.1954 UAH).
Today in the interbank market the dollar exchange rate decreased by 17 kopecks in purchases and by 22 kopecks in sales – 37.66/37.68 UAH/dollar. The euro decreased by 29 kopecks in purchases and by 34 kopecks in sales – 40.90/40.91 UAH/euro.
At the same time, in the cash market the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 15 kopecks – to 38.45 Hryvnia, and the euro fell immediately by 25 kopecks – to 42.00 Hryvnia.
Let us remind you that in the past week the dollar exchange rate has decreased significantly and fell below 38 Hryvnia in the interbank market. The reason for this is the decrease in the foreign currency deficit, which is why the National Bank reduced the sale of dollars. In general, since the beginning of 2024, the dollar has fallen in price more than the hryvnia.
