The National Bank again raised the dollar exchange rate to a new historic high. But the growth rate of the American currency has decreased dramatically. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, January 9.
So, the exchange rate for Wednesday is set at UAH 38.2253. for 1 dollar (+0.0333 UAH). The euro exchange rate tomorrow will be 41.8185 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0212 UAH).
In the interbank market today, the dollar rose in price by 5 kopecks – to 38.25-38.29 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
In the cash market, the exchange rate of the American currency increased by 5 kopecks to 39.35 UAH/dollar.
Earlier, the National Bank explained the record demand for foreign currency. At the same time, the regulator claims that the situation remains under control thanks to a sufficient number of interventions.
Meanwhile, in December, Ukrainians bought a record amount of money in 11 years.
