In the interbank market, the American currency exchange rate increased by 16 kopecks – to 38.19-38.24 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine lifted the dollar exchange rate to another historic high following interbank market trading. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, January 8.
The official exchange rate for Tuesday is set at 38.1920 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.1145 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.7973 UAH per 1 euro (+0.2243 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency exchange rate today increased by 16 kopecks – to 38.19-38.24 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
At the same time, in the cash market the dollar rose by 10 kopecks – up to 39.30 UAH/dollar.
Earlier, the National Bank explained the record demand for foreign currency. At the same time, the regulator claims that the situation remains under control thanks to a sufficient number of interventions.
Meanwhile, in December, Ukrainians bought a record amount of money in 11 years.
