Gas prices in Ukraine have fallen for the second month in a row. Last year, the price was almost half.
The actual selling price of gas in Ukraine in December 2023 was 13,596 hryvnias per thousand cubic meters without VAT, which is 5.5% lower than last month. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy on Monday, January 8.
Thus, gas prices fell for the second month in a row. By 2023, the price had dropped by almost half.
The average price of gas is calculated using a formula for the purposes of the Tax Code of Ukraine for the collection of rent for the use of subsoil.
We remind you that in November a record gas well began operating in the Carpathians. A promising deposit has been discovered in a field considered depleted.
And in August, a new gas field was discovered in Ukraine, the reserves of which may reach 1 billion cubic meters.
