Employers hiring IDPs next year will receive the right to compensation of up to 24 thousand hryvnias, or up to 48 thousand hryvnias for the employment of IDPs with disabilities.
In Ukraine, the terms and amounts for providing employers with compensation for labor costs for the employment of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and IDPs with disabilities have increased. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy Tatyana Berezhnaya, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reports.
“The government has increased the total duration of providing compensation for expenses from two to three months to the employer for the employment of internally displaced persons and to six months for the employment of IDPs to persons with disabilities. There will also be changes the amount of compensation itself If before they were paid based on the amount of 6,700 UAH per month, Now such compensations are tied to the minimum wage, which from January 1 will be 7,100 UAH, and from April 1 – 8,000 UAH,” said Berezhnaya .
According to him, if an employer hires IDPs, then next year he will receive the right to compensation of up to 24 thousand hryvnias for such a person. If it is an IDP to disabled people, then such payments can reach up to 48 thousand hryvnias for each relevant employee.
As reported, in the first eight months of 2023, businessmen received UAH 126 million as compensation for the use of IDPs.
