A father knew his son had won a £1million lottery jackpot before he even checked his ticket.

A man has won a £1 million jackpot in the UK. He owes his winnings to his father. The Sun reported it.

In particular, the winner named Mal Duggan said that his father was the first person to know about his winnings.

When the drawing took place on December 2, she recognized her son’s numbers – 2, 4, 11, 23, 26 and 40 – as they appeared on the screen. The man called a relative and asked if he had played the lottery.

“At that point, I hadn’t even looked at my numbers, and my dad said, ‘You might want to go online and check.’ I couldn’t believe it when we did it. My jaw dropped and I screamed, ‘My God, we’re millionaires,'” said the winner.

Mal Duggan believes he owes his life-changing lottery win to his father Tony – and is spending the money on a new car to thank him. He also wants to buy a house for himself and his girlfriend.

It was previously reported that a mother who spent all her savings on her son’s cancer treatment won a jackpot of 159 million pounds ($2 million).

In the US, an airport worker won $20 million in the lottery
