Currently, Ukroboronprom equipment is not sold abroad. Everything goes to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, German Smetanin assured.
JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) in January-September 2023 increased the production of equipment and weapons by 62% compared to last year. The general director of the company, German Smetanin, said this in an interview with Ekonomicheskaya Pravda, published on Monday, November 6.
“If we talk about volumes, over three quarters we have increased production by 62% compared to the same period last year. I think this number will be higher in the fourth quarter,” he said .
Smetanin assured that the enterprises that are part of Ukroboronprom are ready to produce more weapons, so the public expects new contracts. The priority of domestic military-industrial complex enterprises is the production of ammunition, drones, armored vehicles and anti-tank systems with air defense.
In addition, according to him, Ukrainian manufacturers, in cooperation with foreign partners, established the production of mortar mines, artillery and tank shells. Production facilities are located not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also abroad.
The head of Ukroboronprom noted that all manufactured equipment goes to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is not sold for export.
“Our export contracts remain valid, no one has canceled them. Advances have already been made for some of them. After the war, as soon as we build up the reserves of the Ukrainian army and others other departments, we can continue the implementation of these contracts. Today, Ukroboronprom’s equipment is not sold abroad “Everything goes to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Smetanin.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine began to mass-produce an analogue of “shaheds”. The drone is capable of flying about a thousand kilometers. This is done in collaboration with foreign partners.
