The US dollar exchange rate on the interbank market on Wednesday decreased by 5 kopecks – to 36.52-36.54 UAH/$.
The National Bank increased the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro after several days of decline. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Wednesday, October 25.
On Thursday, the NBU set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the US dollar at 36.5312 UAH/$ (-0.0478 UAH).
In turn, the euro exchange rate immediately fell by almost 30 kopecks – to 38.6171 hryvnia per 1 euro (-0.2920 UAH).
The dollar exchange rate on the interbank market today decreased by 5 kopecks – to 36.52-36.54 UAH/$ (buying and selling).
In exchange offices, the dollar is bought at an average of 37.54, and sold at 38.00 Hryvnia per dollar. Cash euros are bought for 40.01 and sold for 40.60 hryvnia per euro.
We remind you that on October 3, the National Bank introduced a regime of managed flexibility of the exchange rate. Before this, since the beginning of the war, the regulator maintained a fixed exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar – first 29.25 UAH/$, and from July 21, 2022 – 36.57 UAH/$.
Now the banks will sell and buy money at a free rate without the limit of 1% of the official rate that has been in force since the beginning of the war. Taking into account the exchange rate in the interbank market, the NBU will set the official rate. However, the regulator promised to significantly limit changes in the exchange rate, preventing either a significant weakening of the hryvnia or its significant strengthening. In recent days, the dollar exchange rate has been gradually increasing.
