57.6 million tons of new crops were harvested in Ukraine. Zaporozhye farmers have completed the grain harvest.
Farmers from all regions of Ukraine threshed 57.6 million tons of grain and oilseeds. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food on Friday, October 20.
Harvesting of grains and leguminous crops was carried out in an area of 8275.3 thousand hectares with a yield of 47.4 c/ha.
39,228.2 thousand tons of grain were threshed, including:

4,694.5 thousand hectares of wheat were threshed (yield – 47.6 c/ha), 22,359 thousand tons were threshed;

1,376.7 thousand hectares of corn were threshed (yield – 67.4 c/ha), 9,282 thousand tons were threshed;
-
1,504.5 thousand hectares of barley were threshed (yield – 39.0 c/ha), 5,863 thousand tons were threshed;
-
154.4 thousand hectares of peas were threshed (yield – 25.7 c/ha), 396.8 thousand tons were threshed;
-
136.6 thousand hectares of buckwheat were threshed (yield – 14.9 c/ha), 203.6 thousand tons were threshed;
-
77.4 thousand hectares of millet were threshed (yield – 21.0 c/ha), 162.4 thousand tons were threshed;
331.2 thousand hectares of other grains and leguminous crops were threshed, 961.6 thousand tons were threshed.
Agricultural producers of the Kiev region, Kirovograd region, Mykolaiv region, Poltava region, Sumy region, Cherkasy region and Khmelnytsky region threshed more than 2 million tons of grain in each region. In Odessa, Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk – more than 3 million tons each. The Zaporozhye region has completed the harvest of grain crops.
Oilseeds were harvested in an area of 7,395 thousand hectares, 18,457 thousand tons were threshed, meaning:

sunflower was threshed in an area of 4,357.5 thousand hectares (yield – 23.4 c/ha), 10,211 thousand tons of seeds were threshed;

soybeans were collected in an area of 1,641.4 thousand hectares (yield – 25.8 c/ha), 4,241 thousand tons were threshed;
-
rapeseed was threshed in an area of 1,396 thousand hectares (yield – 28.7 c/ha), 4,005 thousand tons of seeds were threshed.
Sugar beets were dug in an area of 125.3 thousand hectares, 5,912 thousand tons of sweet roots were dug with a yield of 471.9 c/ha.
Earlier it was reported that a record buckwheat harvest was predicted in Ukraine.
