The rare vehicle was incinerated by soldiers of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handzyuk. Near Avdievka, this system moved to a firing position to attack the Defense Forces. The enemy equipment was intercepted for impact thanks to an FPV strike drone that dropped a shaped charge into a launcher with loaded ammunition. Journalist Yuri Butusov reported this on October 20 on Telegram.
The footage spread across social networks shows that as a result of the detonation of ammunition with thermobaric rockets, the vehicle was completely destroyed along with its crew of three people.
According to the Militarny publication, the Russian flamethrower system was destroyed south of Vodyanoy on the right side of the Avdeevsky uprising. It is located 3-5 km from the combat line.
Let us remind you that in October, during reconnaissance, the SBU recorded the position of “Solntsepek” in one of the directions. This system was supposed to attack the positions of the Defense Forces carrying out a counter-offensive. The coordinates of the hostile target were transmitted to the missilemen, and with one strike from a rocket from HIMARS they destroyed the Russian flamethrower system.
