The Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024 in the first reading. The document was supported by 285 deputies, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Telegram on Thursday, October 19.

“Next, the Cabinet of Ministers will work on the document, taking into account the conclusions and proposals, and before November 20 there should be a final vote on the draft budget,” Zheleznyak wrote.
We remind you that on September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2024 and submitted it to the Rada. It provides revenues of the general fund of 1 trillion 560 billion Hryvnia and expenses of 3 trillion 108 billion Hryvnia.
The main emphasis of the state budget is defense and security, where more than half of all budget resources will be allocated – 1 trillion 685 billion hryvnias, which is 113 billion hryvnias more than in 2023.
