In the interbank market, the exchange rate of the American currency immediately jumped by 18 kopecks – to 36.58–36.60 UAH/dollar.

The National Bank again significantly increased the official exchange rate of the dollar. The American currency has returned to its level before the transition to managed flexibility mode. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Wednesday, October 18.

Thus, the official hryvnia to dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 36.5616 UAH/1 dollar (+0.1109 UAH). In turn, the euro exchange rate will be 38.609 UAH/1 euro (+0.0587 UAH).

In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate immediately jumped by 18 kopecks – to 36.58-36.60 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).

In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate did not change – 38.15 – and was at the level before the NBU’s decision to switch to a flexible exchange rate.

We remind you that last week the NBU sold $575 million in the interbank market. This is half as much as in the first week after the exchange rate policy change, which indicated the stabilization of the general market situation. At the same time, yesterday the hryvnia exchange rate decreased both in the interbank market and in the cash market.
