Tehran has called on Islamic countries to impose sanctions against Israel, including an oil embargo.

Iran has called on Muslim countries to impose an oil embargo and other sanctions against Israel, as well as expel Israeli ambassadors. Reuters reported this on October 18, citing Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs is calling for an immediate and complete embargo by Islamic countries against Israel, in particular oil sanctions. In addition to this, there should be the expulsion of Israeli ambassadors in cases where the diplomatic relations,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Currently, an urgent meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (57 member countries – Ed.) is being held in the Saudi city of Jeddah to discuss the conflict between Israel and Hamas in connection with the explosion at a hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian is calling for the formation of a team of Islamic lawyers to document Israel’s possible war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Let’s remember that on October 17, according to Hamas, a rocket attack was allegedly made on the Al-Ahly hospital in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 500 civilians. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had nothing to do with the attack on the hospital and believed the explosion was caused by a failed rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad movement.
