The hryvnia exchange rate fell sharply against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Tuesday, September 19.
So, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine immediately increased by 30 kopecks – to 38.60 UAH, the euro exchange rate also increased by 30 kopecks – to 41.45 UAH.
In exchange offices they buy a dollar for an average of 38.10 UAH, and a euro for 40.75 UAH.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU has not changed since July 21 last year and is 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar. The official euro exchange rate today has slightly increased and is 38.9931 hryvnia per euro (+0.0329 hryvnia).
Let’s remember that a week ago the Ministry of Finance expressed concern about the strong Hryvnia. After that, its rate began to fall, and the National Bank was forced to sell the maximum amount of money in the interbank market.
