More than 80% of migrant workers join DTEK Energy’s coal mining businesses.
Since the beginning of a massive war, DTEK Energy employ 3.1 thousand internally displaced people in its coal mining, energy and machine manufacturing. This was announced by the company’s press service on Thursday, August 31.
It is indicated that most of the migrants were forced to leave their homes because of work or the proximity of the conflict. More than 80% of the workers join DTEK’s coal mining enterprises Energy.
“Most of them have no mining specialty and have been retrained in production. The new workers also include many young people who found their first jobs in Ukrainian mines,” the report said.
In turn, the CEO of DTEK Energy Ildar Saleev said that the company is doing everything possible not only to hold the energy front, but also to bring success closer by supporting communities and people.
Recall that earlier in another company of Rinat Akhmetov, metinvest, the integration of workers from Mariupol was discussed. About 5,000 employees have applied that they want to continue working for the company.
It is also reported that since the beginning of a large-scale war, Rinat Akhmetov has sent 6 billion hryvnias to help civilians and the military.
