The Duke of Sussex often talks to his son about what the boy wants to be in the future.
Prince Harry has revealed what his four-year-old son Archie wants to be when he grows up. The Daily Mail reported this.
In particular, the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex said this in a speech he gave to the participants of the Invictus Games in The Hague in 2022. Footage from the speech was published in the new Netflix series Heart of the Unbowed.
“When I talk to my son Archie about what he wants to be when he grows up, sometimes he says an astronaut, sometimes a pilot. But I remind him that whatever you want to be when you grow up, the most important thing is “has your character. And nothing will make his mother and I proud as much as the fact that he has his own character, such as we see in front of us today,” he said.
In the series, Prince Harry also spoke about the loss of his mother, Princess Diana, and how it affected him. The trigger was the Prince’s tour of Afghanistan in 2012. Upon returning from it, the man realized that losing his mother at a young age was a trauma that he had not discussed with anyone. The representative of the royal family of Britain suppressed his feelings for a long time, and when they started to leave, he did not understand what was happening.
“I didn’t have that kind of support structure, that kind of network or expert advice to figure out what was really going on with me. Unfortunately, like most people, you first think about therapy when you’re lying on the floor in a fetal position, maybe wishing that some of these things could have happened sooner. And that’s what I really want to change,” added the Duke of Sussex.
It should be noted that the Invictus Games, inspired by the US Warrior Games, is a multi-sport competition for wounded, injured and sick military personnel, where active and veterans of the armed forces from around world is participating.
The Netflix documentary looks behind the scenes at the Games, tells the stories of competing athletes, and features an interview with Prince Harry.
It was previously reported that the royal family had belatedly removed Prince Harry’s official title from their website.
