The average dollar rate on the cash market rose to UAH 38.20, while the euro rose to UAH 41.80.
The hryvnia continued to fall in exchange offices against the dollar and the euro. It is reported RBC-Ukraine with reference to market tracking data as of Monday, August 21.
This morning the average dollar rate increased by another 5 kopecks – up to 38.20 hryvnias, the euro exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks – to 41.80 hryvnias.
In exchange offices, they buy the dollar, on average, at 37.60 Hryvnia, and the euro – at 41.10 Hryvnia.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU since July 21 last year reached 39.7245 Hryvnia per dollar. And the official exchange rate of the euro has continued to decrease since August 21 and is now at UAH 39.8415 per euro (-0.1170 UAH).
Meanwhile, it became known that last week the National Bank slightly reduced the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market – to $406.71 million. The regulator also bought $0.96 million.
Remember that recently the American currency has increased in price by more than 50 kopecks in exchange offices.
It has also been reported that Ukraine may leave the hryvnia pegged against the dollar even before the end of the war.
