It was noted that even at the beginning of spring, the total gross harvest for the current year is expected to be at 63.5 million tons, or 13% less compared to 2022.
“In June, after the start of harvesting, the forecast was raised to 68 million tons, which is 7% less than in 2022. Now, thanks to favorable weather conditions, there is every reason to change the forecast again to a positive direction. to 76.7 million tons, which is 5% more than in 2022.
The total area sown with spring and winter crops this year was 980,000 hectares less than last year, and reached 10,895,000 hectares, but weather conditions contributed to a near-record rice harvest ( up to 51.8 q/ha), which allows you to significantly increase crop productivity.
According to preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, farmers will be able to harvest grain in this amount: wheat – 20.9 million tons, barley – 5.8 million tons and corn – 28.1 million tons.
The total production of oilseeds will reach 20.3 million tons. The sunflower harvest is expected at 12 million tons. Rapeseed, as predicted, farmers will harvest a record amount in recent years – 4 million tons. The productivity level of soybeans will be 4.2 million tons.
Also, farmers will harvest 13.7 million tons of sugar beets this year.
Recall that farmers harvested more than 16.5 million tons of grain. The agrarians of Nikolayevshchina who threshed 82% of the areas are leading a harvest.
It was also reported that Ukraine has already exported more than 2.7 million tons of new grains and legumes.
