“EuroPol GAZ, which is responsible for gas transit, filed a case against Gazprom in arbitration for the payment of approximately PLN 850 million (about $220 million) of the outstanding debt for gas transportation,” he said.
In addition, EuRoPol GAZ intends to receive more than PLN 5 billion (approximately $1.2 billion) from the Russian company for lost revenue.
According to Sasin, in 2010, the Polish authorities entered into an unfavorable agreement with Gazprom in the hope that the Russian company would supply gas to Europe using EuRoPol GAZ until 2045.
“Unlike our predecessors, we never knelt before the Russians. And our predecessors in some strange way agreed to the conditions imposed on us by the Russians, and did not see the need for sari -different types (gas supplies to Poland),” the vice president emphasized .-premier.
Recall that in May last year, Gazprom stopped gas supplies to Poland due to Warsaw’s refusal to pay for fuel in rubles.
