Military bloggers claimed that the armed forces of the Russian Federation withdrew from positions north of n. Sakko and Vanzetti (15 km north of Bakhmut) in positions south of Bakhmut itself, but the UAF has not yet entered the city.
Western analysts also noted that Ukrainian officials noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces took the initiative on the battlefield near Bakhmut.
