The raised funds will improve the situation in the food industry and ensure food security in Ukraine.
Ukraine received funding from the World Bank in the amount of $132 million. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance on Friday, May 12.
These credit funds were transferred to the general fund of the state budget as a result of the implementation of measures allocated within the framework of the draft program for the acceleration of private investment in agriculture.
As noted by the Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko, the raised funds will make it possible to restore priority costs, especially in the agricultural sector, to improve the situation in the food industry and ensure food security of Ukraine.
Remember, on May 8, Ukraine received almost 190 million euros from the World Bank. These funds will make it possible to restore priority social expenditures of the state budget.
And in April, the government’s foreign currency accounts at the National Bank received $5.8 billion, of which more than $2.7 billion was part of the IMF’s newly expanded financing program.
