For the second week, the volume of shipments of agro-industrial products in the ports of the Odessa region is falling.
As part of the “grain corridor” from May 1 to May 7, 404,000 tons of agro-industrial products were exported through the ports of the Odessa region, which is 10% less than last week. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB).
It was noted that in the 40th week of the grain agreement in the ports of the Odessa region, 11 ships were loaded – the same number as last week, but they have not yet passed the necessary inspection to continue moving.
The most exported: wheat (share in the total export structure – 41%), corn (40%) and sunflower oil (13%). Ukrainian products are sent to Europe (Spain and the Netherlands), Asia (Bangladesh, Turkey and China) and Africa (Tunisia and Morocco).
UCAB emphasized that the decrease in exports is due to the continued obstruction of the full functioning of the “grain corridor”. The shipment volume of agricultural products last week was the smallest for this year.
In total, from August 1, 2022 to May 7, 2023, Ukraine exported 29.7 million tons of agricultural products.

Recall, March 18, it became known that Ukraine reached an agreement with Turkey and the UN to extend the grain agreement for another 120 days. At the same time, Russia said that the contract was only extended by 60 days.
In April, Moscow published five demands for a Black Sea treaty and threatened not to renew it after May 18.
