It was indicated that shortly after midnight the first vehicle convoy departed from the Dorogusk entry point for the Netherlands.
“Now we have a convoy of five trucks, the papers have been finalized. These vehicles have gone through veterinary and customs control, and now they are equipped with seals. The first convoy will carry corn, meat and eggs in the Netherlands,” said a representative of the Tax Chamber in a comment. administration in Lublin Michal Derus.
According to him, the convoy in the territory of Poland will be accompanied by two vehicles of the customs and tax service. At Poland’s border with another EU country, the stamps from the cars will be removed, and then they will move unaccompanied. The spokesman noted that he did not know whether the customs services of other EU countries would accompany Ukrainian convoys with agricultural products.
According to Derus, another convoy with Ukrainian agricultural products will be formed today.
“Yes, there will be convoys. It is done as follows: we group the trucks traveling in one direction into a convoy. We also determine the routes for such convoys,” Derus emphasized, adding that each such convoy will have five trucks.
Derus also said that on Friday the first trains with Ukrainian products will go in transit through Poland. According to him, the customs and tax service will put electronic seals on them. However, they will not be accompanied by service representatives, and the control of the movement of trains will be carried out by the railway security service.
In turn, the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Security (Ukrtransbezopasnost) reported that Poland requires Ukrainian carriers of agricultural products to provide fuel and prepare for vehicle sealing.
“All carriers with transit cross Poland are escorted, and it is impossible to enter the gas station under escort. Prepare the vehicle for sealing. Fulfill all the necessary conditions,” the message said.
If these two conditions are not met, then the Polish customs authorities prohibit the passage and return of the truck to Ukraine.
Remember, on April 15, Warsaw approved a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products to Poland. Later, Poland and Ukraine agreed to continue the transfer of agricultural products, while Ukrainian imports continued to be banned.
It was also reported that Poland will not limit the list of Ukrainian products for transit.
