It should be noted that in March the purchase price of Russian gas for the country reached $1,011.73 per thousand cubic meters. So, in April it fell by $339, or 33.5%.
Recall that in November 2022, for the first time in history, Moldova imported natural gas by reversing its system from west to east.
And since December last year, the country has refused to consume Russian gas, directing all received from Gazprom fuel in unrecognized Transnistria.
Chisinau uses gas purchased by Energocom. At the end of March, the Moldovan state-owned company bought fuel from the Romanian Commodity Exchange for the first time.
