An elderly couple died and another person was injured, the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office established.
On Tuesday, March 21, Russian war criminals shelled Chasov Yar near Bakhmut. During the shooting, more than two dozen buildings were damaged – more than 10 private houses, high-rise buildings, a school. This was announced by the head of the city military administration (GVA) of Chasovoy Yar, Sergei Chaus, in a comment to Suspіlny.
“Now, Chasov Yar has not only suffered. The Russians are destroying, really destroying my city. They are shooting at everything,” he said.
At the same time, Anastasia Medvedeva, a representative of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said in a comment to the media that at 17:00, law enforcement officers found out that about 15 private and multi-storey residential buildings were damaged as a result of much shelling in the city.
“Right now, we know about an elderly couple who died as a result of a shell that hit their house,” he said.
According to him, a resident of an apartment building was injured, he was hospitalized.
Medvedeva added that the initial shelling was carried out from the Tornado MLRS.
Law enforcement officials began a pre-trial investigation under the article Violation of the laws and customs of war (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Recall that on the night of March 20, Russian troops fired a rocket into the center of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region.
