The project of the future plant has now been completed, and the entire legal framework for its construction is also ready, said Vasily Bodnar.
The project of the future plant for the production of Bayraktar TB2 in Ukraine has been completed. All the necessary legal bases have also been formed. This is what the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey, Vasily Bodnar, said at a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center on Tuesday, January 24.
“Today, the entire legal framework has been formed, as you know, the relevant international agreement has been ratified, there is a company that is now operating in Ukraine, it has completed the preparation of a physical project … We expect that the plant will start working within the next two years and will start producing products with Ukrainian components,” he said.
The diplomat also recalled that recently the unmanned fighter Kızılelma with a Ukrainian engine, developed by Baykar, successfully passed the second flight test.
“This is evidence of how closely we cooperate and bring concrete results, including, I hope, for the future strengthening of Ukraine’s security,” Bodnar concluded.
In August 2022, Bodnar announced that the construction of a Bayraktar plant in Ukraine is now in preparation. In particular, the design of the plant itself has been developed and a land plot has been purchased.
Note that after the news of the construction of such a plant, the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, threatened that Russia would destroy it.
