The mines are working to the maximum to provide fuel to the Ukrainian thermal power plant and thermal power plant during the most difficult heating period in the history of Ukraine, said Akhmetov’s company.
DTEK Energy’s coal mines have been moved to maximum productivity, the company’s press service said on Tuesday, January 10.
“The mines are operating at maximum capacity to provide fuel to Ukrainian thermal power plants and thermal power plants during the most difficult heating period in the history of Ukraine,” the company said in a statement.
According to Ildar Saleev, Director General of DTEK Energy, “miners, despite the war, support Ukrainian thermal power plants with the necessary amount of fuel.”
The press service added that in 2022, DTEK’s coal mining enterprises commissioned 28 new longwalls.
It was previously reported that last fall DTEK sent 120,000 tons of coal to support the operation of state-owned TPPs during the heating season.
