California authorities have announced an emergency evacuation in the area due to a powerful storm that has already claimed the lives of at least 14 people.
American TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres showed how bad weather hit the area where she lives, as well as many Hollywood stars. He posted a corresponding video on Twitter.
In particular, the celebrity showed how close to his home in Montecito, Santa Barbara County, a small river overflowed its banks due to heavy rain.
“This creek next to our house never flows, never. Probably about nine feet high, and it will rise another two feet,” the TV presenter said.
So, he joined the local authorities and urged the residents to evacuate to safer places.
“Montecito is under mandatory evacuation. We’re on a hill, so we’ve been asked to shelter in place. Please stay safe,” added Ellen DeGeneres.
