The illegal exports were carried out by a business from the scope of the influence of the “sanctioned” Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation blocked the supply channel for components that could be used in the manufacture of the Russian tactical missile system. This was announced on April 29 by the press service of the department.

In the course of a pre-trial investigation into the abuse of power by government officials, SBI investigators discovered that the Glukhovsky quartzite quarry, owned by an offshore company of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, was illegally mining high-purity quartzite, silicon and other minerals in the Sumy region.

“The products were illegally exported to the Russian Federation. According to operational information, silicon could be used by the aggressor in the manufacture of missiles, which then attacked the peaceful cities of Ukraine,” the Bureau stressed.

As a result of joint action of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Prosecutor General, steps were taken to arrest the corporate rights of Deripaska’s company, land plots of deposits, other property (tractor, vehicle) and a corresponding petition was prepared.

The specified property was transferred to the management of the National Agency for Identification, Tracing and Asset Management.

Earlier, the SBI stopped exporting Ukrainian food to Belarus for half a million dollars.
