The American general recalled that the last partial mobilization in Russia was a failure.
Retired American General Ben Hodges said he did not consider a real offensive by Russia against Kyiv in February, as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said. Hodges wrote this on Friday, December 16 at Twitter.
“I doubt that Russia will be able to muster a force of this size at that time, much less of a proper quality,” Hodges wrote in response to a quote by Zalugny from an interview with The Economist.
According to Hodges, the last partial mobilization in Russia was a failure.
He also added that exaggerating the potential of Russia’s new offensive operations is to the advantage of those looking for reasons not to support Ukraine.
As reported, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, in an interview with The Economist, said that the Russians are preparing about 200,000 new soldiers and there is no doubt that they will go again in Kyiv.
Later, the White House said they saw no more signs that Russia was imminent in launching a second offensive against the Ukrainian capital.
