The new ship, 28 meters long and worth more than five million euros, is planned to deliver to the port of Odessa in a year.

At the Estonian shipyard Baltic Workboats, a rescue ship ordered by Ukraine is being built, to be used in the Black Sea. This was announced on April 28 by national broadcaster ERR.

It was noted that the Marine Rescue Service of Ukraine now has seven ships, half of which were built in Estonia more than ten years ago. The new ship, 28 meters long and worth more than five million euros, will be the eighth.

A year later, the ship is planned to be delivered to the port of Odessa.

“The situation in the Black and Azov Seas is difficult, there is a blockade on the movement of any fleet. Russian warships fire without warning. Despite the fact that we have a whole heavy war in the Russian Federation, Ukraine has been and remains a reliable partner. We will perform all our obligations, “said Viktor Sudarev, head of the Marine Rescue Service of Ukraine.

Earlier, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Norway to provide anti-ship missiles to fight the Russian Federation in the Black Sea.
