Turkey continues to develop unmanned military boats that can also operate in swarm mode. This was announced on December 13 on Twitter by the head of the country’s defense industry department, Ismail Demir.

He shared footage of the Albatros-S boat developed by ASELSAN, which can carry out missions alongside eight unmanned marine vehicles.

“Albatros-S unmanned boats can perform various missions, including monitoring sea zones, rescue operations, escorting suspicious ships. will be able to exchange tasks” said Demir.

The official stressed that Turkey wants to become a leader in the production of unmanned marine vehicles, just as it has become a world leader in the production of unmanned aircraft.

It can be recalled that in October, Turkey tested Tayfun short-range ballistic missiles over the Black Sea.
