For the most part, refugees from the Middle East do not intend to stay in Bulgaria, but plan to move to other EU countries using complex smuggling networks.

A bus with 70 illegal migrants is detained in Bulgaria, on the Trakia highway. This was announced on Sunday, December 11, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria, writes Reuters.

The passenger bus was checked at the traffic police line control for km 265 in the direction of Sofia. The bus is said to be parked after being partially damaged in the accident.

Among the illegal immigrants are only men. They have no papers but claim to be of Afghan descent. They were also accompanied by two Romanian citizens, who escorted them.

According to the police, the ages of those detained range from 13 to 38 years old. At the same time, 14 of them received medical help, because they were tired and weak.

Pre-trial proceedings were initiated against Romanian citizens.

It should be noted that a group of illegal migrants was detained at the Ukrainian border with Belarus, brought there by the Belarusian security forces and border guards.

Remember, Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi announced the detention of 92 migrants at the Turkish border, who were stripped in Turkey and forced to sail on boats to Greece.
