The Russian delegation to the UN revealed the alleged entry of Western weapons from Ukraine to third countries.
Russia presents “fakes under the guise of facts”, hiding lies “in many terms and names, details and numbers.” This was announced on Friday, December 9, by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsya, at a meeting of the UN Security Council, Ukrinform quotes.
Thus, the representative of Ukraine commented on the accusation of the Russian delegation of allegedly taking Western weapons from Ukraine to third countries.
Kislitsa pointed out that each new batch of weapons strengthens the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front, and the weapons are used only to liberate the territories from the invaders.
“All weapons belonging to Ukraine serve their intended purpose – to help Ukrainian soldiers liberate our people and our territories,” he stressed.
The permanent representative said that a multi-level control system works in Ukraine to prevent the illegal use of weapons.
“Control over the circulation and use of small arms and light weapons is carried out at the interdepartmental level with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Service and other government agencies,” he stressed.
According to the permanent representative, Ukraine has a three-level system of control and supervision over weapons supplied by foreign partners. Parliamentary control is provided by a temporary special commission. The President exercises his powers through the National Security and Defense Council.
“At the government level, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with foreign partners, exercise direct control and monitoring of arms supplies to Ukraine, as well as the movement of international technical assistance,” said Kislytsya.
He noted that the activities of the Russian private military company Wagner Group in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in other countries of the world deserve serious attention from the UN Security Council and relevant international mechanisms.
Kislitsa emphasized that after Russia’s defeat and the end of the war, its demilitarization and denuclearization must take place.
“This will prevent the threat of a recurrence of aggression and lay a solid foundation for turning Russia into a peace-loving state and for ensuring sustainable peace and security,” Kislytsya said.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Serhiy Kyslitsa, considered it possible to pass a law by which Ukraine would call Russia Muscovy.
In addition, Kyslytsya named something that would protect Ukraine from another Russian attack.
