The Ukrainian military arrived near Kremennaya and was located a few kilometers from the city. This was announced on Friday, December 9, during the telethon of the Head of the military administration of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Gaidai.
“What gives me the opportunity to speak about good news in the near future is what I see – how events are developing in the direction of Svatovo and Kremennaya. Although today a large number of troops have been sent to Svatovo. And the Russians still have some amazing and stupid idea – to make a retaliatory attack on Kupyansk,” said the head of UVA.
Gaidai noted that the de-occupation of the Lugansk region will be very difficult, as the Russians are “very ready” to defend their positions.
At the same time, he expressed the hope that “technical equipment will go faster in the winter.”
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces may liberate some more settlements in the Luhansk region by the end of this year,” he said.
The head of the OVA added that “the Russians have deployed the last trained units near Svatovo and Kremennaya.”
Earlier, Gaidai said that the Russians dragged thousands of mobilized reservists in the direction of Kremenskoye and Svatovskoye, among them, “Wagnerites”, “Kadyrovtsy” and landing forces were stationed there.
