The terrorists are deliberately trying to leave as many deadly traps as possible, the president said in an evening speech to the people of Ukraine.
In an evening speech to the people of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had signed decrees on the posthumous awarding of policemen who died in the Kherson region.
“They did everything for the safety of Ukrainians. Having returned after completing one of the tasks – when they took weapons and ammunition from the storage of the invaders left in the Kherson region – the police fell into a trap of mine. And this is a form of Russian terrorism that has had to be fought for years. Terrorists deliberately leave as many deadly traps as possible: buried land mines, trip wires, mined buildings, vehicles and infrastructure,” Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that mine terror is worse than rocket terror.
“I am sure that my fear is among the charges against Russia for aggression, which is more cruel and heinous than missile terror, because there is no such anti-mine system that can destroy at least part of the threat, as of our air. “And I am grateful to all our partners who help Ukraine in my action. Thank you to everyone who strengthens our state and helps our people! Eternal memory to everyone who gave his life for Ukraine!” – said the President of Ukraine.
According to Zelensky, there are now more than 170,000 square kilometers of mined territory in Ukraine.
It will be remembered that yesterday, December 7, in the Kherson region, which was blown up by mines, four policemen from the Cherkasy region were killed.
