famous rock band Hans n Rose sued one gun shop online from Texas, USA for using his name without permission as a wave of deadly shootings raged across the country.

The litigation, which AFPwas originally disclosed by local media with a link to the portal City News Service. The lawyers of the group presented him on Thursday, December 1, in a California federal court, from where Hans n Rose they are original

Claims against the company Florist in Jersey Villageowner of the online store texasgunsandroses.com, are charged with, among other things, “false indication of origin, unfair competition, false offer,” the document says.

The online store sells guns, rifles, ammunition, body armor, and even roses “without the permission, license, or consent of Guns N’ Roses.” The firm was unable to immediately provide its version.

Litigation is led by senior partners W. Axl Rose (“Axl Rose”), Saul Hudson (“Slash”); and Michael “Duff” McKagan, members of this band, founded in the 80s.

The name of the company “damages” the image of Guns N’ Roses

The translators for Sweet Child O’ Mine and Paradise City, through their lawyers, explain that they learned of the existence of the business in 2019 and unsuccessfully asked the company to stop using their name in 2020.

On page 7 of the document, the plaintiffs allege that the nature of the business is “harmful” to Hans n Rosewho doesn’t want to be associated with a “firearms” dealer.

Shooting at a school in Texas (May) and other deadly events in November at a university and supermarket in Virginia and an LGBT club in Colorado have re-ignited the debate in the United States about buying and owning guns, a right that, those who defend it, assure that it is protected by the old constitutional norm.

President Joe Biden himself has called for stricter gun control laws.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, 40,781 people have died from firearms in the United States so far, although more than half of the cases are suicides. Of this total, about 200 people died in the massacres. (According to AFP)
