Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday 6 December congratulated Ukrainian military on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Sending my best wishes to the heroism of the Ukrainian military on the occasion of Ukrainian Armed Forces Day. Great Britain is with you in victory and always. Glory to Ukraine,” Johnson wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the defenders of Ukraine on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny also congratulated the Ukrainian defenders on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a holiday in honor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, established by a decree of the Verkhovna Rada of 1993. It is celebrated annually on December 6 – the day of adoption of the 1991 Law of Ukraine On the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which coincides with the beginning of the First Winter Campaign of the UNR army.
